Horses are in my blood, and PEOPLE WE KNOW, HORSE THEY LOVE, raced to the top of the list with personal profiles and intimate profiles of such celebrity horse lovers as, Robert Redford, Richard Gere, Maria Schriver, Paul Newman, Gisele, Dennis Quaid and Morgan Freeman among others.
This was an extraordinary collaboration. I partnered with “Today” show correspondent Jill Rappoport and renowned photographer Linda Solomon. All of us were passionate about our subject, as were the celebrities who shared their stories.
This very special book made a much bigger impact than we authors – or even our publisher Rodale Press – could have anticipated. Though now out of print, it sold more than 70,000 copies, was on the NY Times best-seller list for ten weeks, and proceeds from sales built and indoor riding arena for Pegasus Therapeutic Riding.
