PIRATE’S PLUNDER
An Adele Bonny Adventure
Stories of the Caribbean and High Seas are in my blood, ever since crewing on a beautiful catamaran in the Pacific Ocean. Growing up around the beaches of Southern California, but ultimately moving to land-locked Colorado, summer vacations were to the beaches of Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean. I started researching this area in earnest while working with Morgan on the cookbook, visiting Grenada, Puerto Rico and Nassau – ultimately my husband and I purchased an island getaway in The Bahamas.
Always wanting to write fiction as well, on a lark I googled “famous female pirates of the Caribbean.” Anne Bonny was the first to pop up and I discovered that she pirated and plundered the local waters with her lover Captain Calico Jack Rackham; thus the historical genesis for Pirate’s Plunder. Four years and rewrites too numerous to count later, Bellekeep Books released PP to great reviews from both consumers and the media.
